Automatically e-mail ACH receipts
I have had several vendors contact me because the NACHA file does not allow enough information for them to apply my payment to their invoices. By having an option to send the ACH remittance receipts via e-mail to our vendors, they would have information they need to properly apply our payments. I have received these from other clients of mine, so I know other software has this functionality.

Allow more than one line of description on AP invoices
When entering an invoice, you may need to allocate it to separate expense accounts, and need to use separate descriptions for each expense account. Currently you can only enter descriptions on the invoice tab, and not the GL distribution time. Not having this feature has really affected our reporting efforts.

In Web Invoicing should allow the Individual User to see the Street Address for the "Requestor" that they are adding.
If the user who is entering the Web Invoice information is able to see the street address they will be able to see if the Requestors address is correct. This will eliminate the check being mailed to an old address and delaying the receipt of their payment.

Filter Options - allow ability to EXCLUDE items, not just include items
Applies to GL as well. There are many areas in the system for pulling records such as posting, reporting, etc. Currently, we can only select records for INCLUSION, but I would like to more easily be able to set records to EXCLUDE without having to create a query first.

Run income statements on a cash basis
My organization has some programs that need to be able to run income statements on a cash basis for billing purposes. In this case, the fee that can be earned by a program is based on actual revenue collections over the course of a month, not based on what the accrual/gross potential of those collections is.

Please make the drop down list of banks in accounts payable alphabetical. Currently they appear in chronological order and it is not possible to remove closed accounts from the list. We could at least change the name on closed accounts, so they would appear at the bottom if it was in alphabetical order. Also, it would easier to find current accounts. Personally, my entity has chosen to have numerous bank accounts and they change banks on some accounts frequently and my drop down list is a nightmare. Please give us the ability to sort alphabetically.

Ability to Pick Current Rate of Pay in Query instead of every pay increase coming through
Would like to be able run an current active query that can pull the current rate of pay only instead of all of their rates of pay.

Enable the class within Configuration for a fund to be used to prevent misclassification of transactions.
This is in relation to the functionality described in KB # BB705245. We understand that some Financial Edge users might like the convenience of allowing accounts and/or transactions within one fund to be classed to different asset classes, however, we specifically set-up our accounting system so that each fund is its own class. Unfortunately, errors occur (i.e. accounts are set-up and/or transactions are posted with a mis-matched class to the class of the particular fund being used). We've set-up several stop gaps to keep this from happening and it happens much less frequently than before. However, it is still happening.… more

Enable different variance % and $ formulas for REV and EXP in SAME column
Enable Financial Edge to run one variance formula for Revenue % [ = (Actual/Budget) - 1] and another variance formula for Expenses% [ = 1 - (Actual/Budget)] in the SAME column for Income Statement and other reports.
Also, enable Financial Edge to run one variance formula for Revenue $ [ = Actual – Budget ] and another variance formula for Expense $ [ = Budget – Actual ] in the SAME column for Income Statement and other reports.

Ability to apply vendor refunds to vendor record
Or create a link on the vendor record to the record in GL. This will greatly assist in audit trail for partial vendor refunds.

Credit Card as a payment option in Accounts Payable
It would be great if you could pay an invoice using a credit card and have Accounts Payable reflect that. It would also be fabulous for this to generate the invoice on the credit card vendor to eliminate double key strokes.

Use invoice numbers on AR statements and reports instead of Line Item Numbers
We have never been able to use the Statements that FE AR module produces as line item numbers mean nothing to our customers. They need the statement to reference outstanding invoice numbers. Likewise, our internal AR reports are difficult to use when they don't reference the invoice number.

Purchase Orders
Allow Purchase Orders to be enter as amount only instead of by Qty. Performed services are not always based on the quantity or the number of times a service is performed, so the dollar amount of the invoice could be different.

Allow the ability to add terms based on date versus number of days
Several vendors require than an invoice be paid by a certain DATE versus a number of days. Examples are: health/life insurance, credit card statements, cell and telephone bills. These types of vendors do not typically fall within a set number of days versus having items due on a set date. FE should be able to facilitate this option as most companies do have this as a needed requirement.
